Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and verify insurance authorizations for pain management procedures.
- Handle authorizations for injections, surgeries, and medications.
- Review medical records and clinical documentation for authorization submissions.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and clinical teams.
- Track authorization requests.
- Follow up on pending authorization cases.
- Resolve authorization-related denials.
- Assist with appeals.
- Ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
Requirements / Skills
- At least 6 months of experience as an Authorization Specialist in healthcare.
- Pain Management authorization experience is considered a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of coding and billing.
- Understanding of Revenue Cycle Management processes.
