Key Responsibilities
- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes.
- Work across specialties including Cardiology, Ophthalmology, and Behavioral Health.
- Review and abstract clinical documentation for accurate and compliant coding.
- Work on denial queues and identify root causes.
- Track denial resolution.
- Stay updated with payer policies, coding guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Meet departmental productivity and quality benchmarks.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements / Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional medical coding experience.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience in Cardiology, Ophthalmology, or Behavioral Health coding is preferred.
