A healthcare organization is hiring a Patient Scheduling Specialist with proven experience in a U.S. Primary Care / PCP or Family Practice setting. This onsite role in DHA Phase 8, Lahore focuses on appointment scheduling, insurance eligibility verification, provider template management, and patient coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel PCP appointments using the practice’s EHR/PM system.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits before each visit.
- Flag inactive or out-of-network insurance coverage.
- Match visit types, including new patient, follow-up, annual wellness, and sick visits, with the appropriate provider and time slot.
- Manage provider templates and same-day sick slots to reduce gaps and overbooking.
- Make reminder and confirmation calls.
- Manage waitlists to help fill cancellations and no-shows.
- Collect accurate patient demographics and insurance details.
- Collect referral or prior-authorization information during scheduling.
Requirements / Skills
- Proven patient scheduling experience in a U.S. PCP or Family Practice setting is required.
- Hands-on experience with an EHR/PM system such as athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, or Kareo.
- Working knowledge of insurance eligibility verification.
- Understanding of payer terms including HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, copay, and deductible.
- Clear and professional spoken English for U.S. patient calls.
- Ability to work the U.S. night shift onsite.
