OceanStack is hiring an experienced Authorization (Auth) Specialist for an on-site position at its office in Islamabad. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in insurance eligibility verification, prior authorizations, imaging, and referrals, along with a strong understanding of payer guidelines and medical necessity requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle insurance eligibility verification and prior authorization procedures.
- Process authorization requests for imaging services and referrals.
- Submit, track, and follow up on authorization requests through payer portals and phone calls.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance payers, and patients.
- Resolve authorization-related denials and delays promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and audit trails.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in insurance eligibility verification and prior authorization procedures, including imaging and referrals.
- Strong knowledge of payer guidelines and medical necessity criteria.
- Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
- Experience submitting, tracking, and following up on authorization requests through payer portals and by phone.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Medical Billing, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), or Healthcare Operations experience is a strong plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
