Doctors Urgent Care Group is hiring a Junior AR Specialist for a full-time, on-site position. The role involves medical billing, insurance eligibility verification, chart auditing, and accounts receivable management within an urgent care setting. Candidates must have experience in AR, Denial Management, AdvancedMD, and Urgent Care billing.
Working Days: Monday–Friday
Work Schedule: Approximately 45 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Understand insurance guidelines, including Medicare and Medicaid, urgent care coverage, and deductibles.
- Verify patients' insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Perform medical billing for patient charts.
- Check charts for completion.
- Review and audit charts for quality and proper coding.
- Work with medical billing software.
- Investigate and resolve billing-related issues with patients.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Denial Management.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with AdvancedMD.
- Minimum 1 year of Urgent Care billing experience.
- Must be willing to take an AdvancedMD technical test.
